This is the High Anthracite table from the Aram collection, a model also available in a lower height and a larger diameter, so that both pieces can be used together. The series is completed with stools of a similarly subtle and ethereal appearance. Take a look at the rest of its color options: white, yellow, green, coral, sand and bronze.

Details

Inspired by a traditional Indian technique that works with iron wires in circles, the Japanese studio Nendo has designed the Aram tables and stools using a thin, powder-coated stainless steel wire, that adopts different degrees of denseness.

The pattern is denser in the upper part, which strengthens the support surface. However, as the design approaches the floor, it loses density. In the area closest to the ground it even seems to disappear, giving great lightness to the pieces, as if they were floating.

Both tables in the Aram collection are intended to be used as side or coffee tables, but they can also work as seats. And the same goes for the stools, which in turn can function interchangeably as small auxiliary tables. Additionally, the varied range of color options allows you to create cheerful and colorful compositions.

Nendo studio, designer of the Aram collection

Nendo is a multidisciplinary design studio based in Tokyo and Milan. Founded in 2002 by architect Oki Sato, the firm specializes not only in architecture and interior design but also product design, graphics, merchandising, exhibitions and consulting. Its proposals stand out due to the novel approach they offer, always surprising and often with an important poetic character, which is why many of them are part of collections of some of the most important museums in the world. In particular, the ability to tackle everyday objects with a completely unexplored perspective is one of its most valued contributions to the field of design, having received countless awards and recognitions.
