The Knotwork rug is an amazing design whose surface presents a rich and complex compendium of knots of totally different styles. Made with thin strips of light brown felt, it alternates up to four types of interlacing, which follow one another and repeat in the manner of friezes. Like a knitted sweater, the rug acquires a voluminous texture that also resembles macramé.

Created by the in-house GAN design team, perhaps the most surprising thing about this creation is its manufacturing method, since it is not knotted by hand, but handmade on a manual loom. It is available in three sizes.

This is the Sioux rug from our kilim collection, a very light and reversible piece created by Odosdesign with an original pattern. Its design combines two sizes of crosses in two colors: some in light brown and others in coral. The repetition of these last ones generates a panel of colorful diamonds.

This is the Catania rug from our kilim collection, designed by Sandra Figuerola and inspired by recurring tile patterns, very present in the culture of the Mediterranean basin. It is a piece with moderate graphics but intensely colorful, with a protagonist presence of the color red.

It is made with the same artisanal technique employed to make our other kilims, but it uses jute for the base and viscose for the pattern, inspired by traditional forging bars. The Natural Bereber Rug is a soft element made by hand, knot by knot, with traditional techniques of Moroccan origin using 100% virgin New Zealand wool. Alternating patterns in close proximity make its surface look diffuse and imprecise. In addition, its color presents nuanced and attractive variations. This color variation is due to Berber being made with tie-dyed threads, a method in which textiles are tied when being colored, applied in this case to individual wool threads. As a result of this unique process, the strands can have several colors and even color gradients. Created by the internal design team at GAN, Bereber is available in three sizes as well as in another version in gray tones.

Our Paysages rug is a handmade design with a pattern that can have several interpretations: a countryside landscape under a blue sky, or a sea captured at sunrise or sunset. These perceptions only work when you look at the piece horizontally: vertically, it becomes a composition close to abstract expressionism.

Paysages is designed by French designer Sébastien Cordoleani, who is fond of capturing and painting landscapes recurrent in his day-to-day. Paysages is available in two sizes and is entirely made with 100% virgin wool from New Zealand.

The Varese rug is one of our most colorful proposals. Its braided design, which runs continuously throughout the piece, is made with thick tie-dyed wool yarns, a method in which textiles are knitted and then dyed, and which in this case has been applied to individual strands. This causes the threads to change color and create gradients.

This characteristic not only provides dynamism, but also a certain sense of spontaneity in its preparation. Conceived by the internal design team at GAN, Varese is made on manual looms using 100% virgin wool yarns. It is available in three sizes.

Its pattern alternates crosses, points and triangles with sinuous or geometric motifs, generating an attractive symmetrical composition in black and white that evokes certain drawings of lost civilizations -hence its name, in reference to those drawings found in Tassili, Algeria.
