Reference: EBCHDBLACK

Availability: 12 - 16 weeks

$2,200.00

The D Black Chair from the Bandas collection is a piece that can be used independently, as well as to configure a modular sofa in combination with the chaiselongue element and the two sizes of poufs in the series. Its black fabric, hand-embroidered with a seemingly random pattern using white and orange wool, is one of ten runners or bands that give the collection its name. The piece is also accented with an orange trim.

Details

Designed by Patricia Urquiola, the Bandas collection revolves around a set of ten individual runners, which can be joined through a simple velcro system to create larger area rugs, or used as covers for which the modules and poufs in the collection. Ten designs with which you can create countless combinations.

The collection is made by hand, using two types of textiles and techniques: a fine fabric, made on a manual loom, serves both to cover the modules and poufs and as a base for the runners themselves, on which the details are hand-embroidered and crocheted by artisans from India.

Bandas is one of GAN’s more flexible proposals, and open to customization. Not only because of all of the possible combinations offered by the ten different designs, but also because of the modular character of its elements. In addition, the possibility of using the same design in both the seating elements and in the rugs produces a unique and original continuity effect between the seat and the floor.

Bandas, a GAN Spaces collection

GAN spaces are collections meticulously constructed from innovative concepts and artisanal production methods. Suggestive approaches that, stemming from a rug, are capable of bringing to life a whole family of modules and accessories with which to design an environment or “space”. A set of designs linked together, designed to project stimulating and contemporary atmospheres with an open, flexible and casual configuration.
